Aboriginal Senior Health Promotion Officer (ASHPO):

The Aboriginal Senior Health Promotion Officer Janinne Gliddon is located in the Women and Newborn Health Library at King Edward Memorial Hospital. The ASHPO role liaise and collaborates with stakeholders of KEMH and external Aboriginal health services, community organisations and consumers to identify and promote initiatives aimed at improving Aboriginal maternal and infant health and wellbeing and also gynecological issues. The ASHPO provides information and resources specifically to meet the needs of Aboriginal women at KEMH and their families.   Janinne is available Monday-Friday and can be contacted on 9340 1123.

Ngalla Mia (Our place)

Ngalla Mia is located in the basement of Agnes Walsh House.  It is a place for Aboriginal women who are staying in Agnes Walsh Lodge to come together to meet with other ladies to have a yarn, do some painting/art therapy, make jewellery, watch tv/dvds.
